Greetings, fellow armor modelers:
It's certainly been a dismal, disappointing year for model shows post-March 2020. Canceling the AMPS 2020 show was certainly a kick in the sponsons, but it was the best decision to make at this time in order to help safeguard AMPS show attendees and hotel staff during this pandemic. While this year with all show cancellations has been most disappointing for modelers around the world, all is not lost for AMPS 2021. In an unprecedented move, AMPS 2021 will have a twin themed show in April. Not forgetting all the hard work put into building model entries for the "Last Battle" show theme by the AMPS members, next year's show will feature "Last Battles" and "Move It" themes, so all those who prepared for AMPS 2020 show; your effort was not wasted. Now AMPS attendees have an opportunity to build entries into both themes maybe even win both theme awards. With the nearly non-existent model shows across the U.S., AMPS 2021 is shaping up to be the best show ever.
But what makes any show great besides meeting good friends, model displays and maybe tweaking our entries in our hotel room at 2:45 AM? Vendors! Vendors across the US have taken very big hits due to so many shows being cancelled due to the pandemic. Though we all couldn't gather at the AMPS 2020 show to spend our cash in the vendor rooms, we can still support them by visiting their sites and buying online with some cash we put aside for the AMPS show. AMPS previously sent out a note about supporting those vendors who were scheduled to attend AMPS 2020, however a few unintentionally were left off that list:
