I finally figured out how to upload photos to my Flickr account!
I have finally complated the cockpit for my WNW 1/32 scale Sopwith Pup. Well apart from painting the wood grain on the cabane struts. I did plan on using wood grain decals but I like the look of the cockpit side frames and decided to paint them the same way by just using oils.
I had also bought some HGW fabric seat belts but used the kit PE ones instead. The fabric ones needed cutting out and as the real ones would have been quite stiff I decided that the kit ones would be good?
I've test fitted this into the fuselage with no problems but where it sits within the lower wing centre section it is very tight and didn't want to go in. I tried it on its own and it does fit but it is tight, so I will investigate as to whether I can fit this into the wing and then close the fuselage around it but I guess not. The instructions don't do it that way and WNW instructions tend to show you the way. We will see
needless to say my build for the club stand for Scale Modelworld 2018 is coming on and I'm now planning on building a WNW Fokker DVII as well!
I downloaded this pic but I couldn't do it with any others, doing it the only way that seems possible? I will check back and try again some other time!
And then coming back to this to try and add more photos there wasn't a photo!
