Bolton IPMS Modelling Bonanza

Bolton IPMS Modelling Bonanza
The Bolton IPMS Modelling Bonanza is the first show of the year, and normally the first show attended by the Bulldogs after the long weekend in Telford.
As usual the number of Bulldogs in attendance was very good (bearing in mind a couple are with the Bolton club). I was joined by Mal, Andy L, Luciano, Nige, Allen, Samantha, Keith, and not forgetting two of our hosts, Derek and Barry.
The show is held in the classrooms and main hall of St. Joseph's RC High School, so a bit of exploring is needed, so as not to miss any displays.
The show always seems to be busy from opening until closing with plenty of people looking and buying models and tools.
The standard of the models on display was exceptional, with a lot of models that I have never seen before at any shows. It seemed to me that the armour and ships on display were on par with the aircraft in numbers, which are the normal dominating force at shows.
The local Air Cadet unit also attended, where they were tasked to build a 1/72nd Spitfire, and one young lady cadet got to hand out leaflets to recruit new members.
Thanks to the Bolton lads for a great show, and my personal thanks to Andy L and Luciano for the lifts, and Nige for his hospitality over the weekend, thanks guys.
Some photos were provided by the Bolton IPMS site.

About Andy Brazier (betheyn)
FROM: ENGLAND - SOUTH EAST, UNITED KINGDOM

I started modelling in the 70's with my Dad building Airfix aircraft kits. The memory of my Dad and I building and painting a Avro Lancaster on the kitchen table will always be with me. I then found a friend who enjoyed building models, and between us I think we built the entire range of 1/72 Airfi...
