The layout now belongs to An Affair With Trains hobby shop on Deer Valley Road In Phoenix, AZ, to be preserved and shared.

Dean Freytag, 86, passed away Christmas night.

My condolances to his family and friends.

I met him at the 2005 NMRA convention and our brief meeting left me glad to have met a gentleman and incredible modeler. His Detroit, Toledo & Ironton RR model, with its orange locomotives leading tonnage through verdant Ohio, was always inspiring. The following is an excerpt of a very fitting eulogy by RR Friend Bill Linson for Dean.
