There have been a number of interesting aviation releases announced by Trumpeter in a varety of scales - here is just one of them along with its corresponding images...
Short run Kits of Rare Aircraft
The latest release from Monroe Perdu is an extremely versatile kit "The Sunken Road". This kit builds into a vignette to depict almost anywhere in the world you can think of. A rutted lane in Normandy, a washed out trek in North Africa, a wagon path in Italy, or a carved trail in the jungle of Vietnam are all possibilities with this kit.
CraftWorks is not too well-known outside of aircraft modelling circles, and their 1:32 scale pilot figures are even more enigmatic, with no photos being available online... until now!
Hobby 37 is a Spanish producer of diorama accesories in 1/35th scale. They have recently announced a number of interesting new releases, which we present here...

Hot news from Gary Newman at MMD-Squadron! The first plastic parts for Czech Model's forthcoming 1/48 Ryan FR-1 Fireball are due any day now. Resin details and decals will follow within the next few weeks, so this exciting kit should be on the shelves by Summer.
Revell have released details of 4 new military & airliner kits. For military modelers there are the F-16B and Chinook, while civil builders have the chance to model the giant Airbus A-380 and commemorate Cordorde's last flight from London to New York.
There are a couple of exciting new kits ready release by Roden - the long awaited 1/32 scale Fokker Dr.1 and a new version of their successful 1/48 scale Mohawk.
Monroe Perdu finally has limited quantities of it's latest and largest kit, MPD-031 Northern Italian Church. If you were able to attend the recent SCAHMS show, you saw the painted test shot and the first few kits for sale. The kit is imposing, measuring 13" tall and 13" square on the base.

135th Construction Battalion continues it's trend of roof items (last month we saw drains, pipes, and a chimney). This month we have more gutter and drains, but also a beautiful European Clock Dormer (CO0099). This large resin piece by Ben Jakobsen, includes a seperate clock face and a single resin part that has the clock hands ready to cut out.
These new items from Custom Dioramics are definately unique. They include a set of park benches, a donkey, an Orthodox Priest, and a public shower. All in 1:35 scale

A week or so ago, Kenaz Raynor posted a review of one of the most interesting of the Post-War British Aircraft - The Westland Wyvern. Now Cutting Edge Modelworks have announced a sheet of decals to complement the Classic Airframes kit in 1/48th scale...
In addition to the 135th Construction Battalion pieces, VLS has also released 2 additional diorama detail items this month through it's Custom Dioramics division. Both are the work of Ben Jakobsen.
135th CONSTRUCTION BATTALION, a VLS Creations Company, has released some interesting new building upgrades. They include a pillared balcony, a smoke stack (chimney), and 2 drain and plumbing fixtures sets. The creations are the work of Ben Jakobsen of Canada. Ben joined VLS in 2002 and has bee churning out good stuff like this since.
Classic Airframes produce 1/48th scale aviation kits. They are slightly different from from the 'mainstream' producers in that their kits are Multi-Media in other contain a mixture of materials - plastic, resin and where appropriate, white metal. This makes these kits marginally mopre expensive than the average 'plastic' kit and also enables them to cover less 'commercial' subjects than the mass-manufacturers.
January will see the release of four more interesting titles from that most prolific of publishing houses - Osprey Publishing. In this news story, the attention turns to books which are of particular interest to aviation modellers...

German short-run manufacturer Airmodel has announced the release of two new 1/72 scale Luftwaffe models:

Item Number: AM-2059 Heinkel He 118 V-1 is available now. This is a complete resin kit cast using what Airmodel claim is a new technology which offers exceptional detail.

To mark the release, Airmodel are offering the model at a special price of EUR 22.00 for orders placed before Christmas.
