ARMOR35 has returned to their roots - ballast - with their forthcoming new release of a NTV, a 1/35 box car!
Standard Covered Van (NTV) is a 16,5t capacity unbraked wagon (box car) used by the Russian and Soviet Railways of 1930s and 1940s. This 1/35 multi-media kit is gauged to 1524mm, the Soviet's 5-foot gauge. They were built both with and without end brake platforms. Some of these "house cars" even had a stove.

While I do not have an item number or complete details yet, the kit appears to have milled wood, resin, wire and photo-etched parts, as well as several data stenciling decals.

Combined with Armor35's forthcoming Ua motor railcar and Up flat cars, as well as their range of Soviet railroader figures, modelers can start a neat and space conscious 1/35 Soviet Railways (Cоветские железные дороги (CЖД)) diorama.

What next from Armor 35? Perhaps a 1/35 AA20-1 2-7-2 steam locomotive to dwarf a BR-52?

My wallet’s on fire & it doesn’t even know the cost yet - less than 80 Euros I hope, & yes certainly needs something to haul it around. Interesting website too, nice railroad figures/accessories, a loco can surely be only a matter of time.

Yes, very nice...but is the interior detailed or just a big blank hole? Great dio possibilities with open door displaying troops embarking/debarking or horse transport.
